End of Cycle Test
The End of Cycle Test (EOCT for short) is your chance to prove you know your stuff. Actually, it's a requirement to prove you know your stuff. The EOCT test site consists of eight stations, with a total of 21 tasks in all. You must receive a "go" on 19/21 stations in order to graduate from basic training. Such tasks tested include first aid, mild and severe symptoms of nerve agent poisoning, gasmask procedures, map and compass reading, setting up the Claymore mine, AT4 Anti-Tank weapon procedure, completing a SALUTE (reconnaisance) report, and so on.

Though you may at first be concerned with you ability to pass with 19/21 "gos", consider that you are given almost a week to review all aspects of the tasks covered ad nauseum. Consider also that you are given more than one chance to complete a task. Everyone passes the EOCT (well, almost everyone), so don't worry about it when the time arrives. It's not as hard as you may think, and when you DO pass, it's the greatest feeling. You see, the EOCT is the last requirement (besides the Final Inspection) which could possibly, in any way, hinder your graduation. With this complete, you can begin to think about returning to that distant and magical place... home.
