The purpose of the U.S. Weapons range is to give soldiers a chance to fire on weapons other than the M16A2. While at U.S. Weapons, you will fire 50 rounds from an M60 Machine Gun, learn the procedure for setting a Claymore Mine, witness the demonstration of an AT4 Anti-Tank Weapon, (you will fire a 9mm tracer round version), and fire a grenade launcher. It is a day of excitement as the weapons of the greatest army on earth are ready and available for you to learn. You have joined the Army, afterall, and you never know when you may be called to use one of these weapons regardless of your Military Occupational Skill (MOS). Mainly, it's just lots of fun.
